Boss Codex

Per boss: phase timeline → attack patterns (tell / counter) → drop table. Wind-up timings hand-clocked by editors.

Rootmaw

Gloom Hollow (Ch.1)Lv 10+
HP: N 38,000 / H 112,000Phases: 2
Phase 1 · rooted
enrage at 45%
Phase 2 · uprooted

← HP drains left to right →

PatternTellCounter
Dive Sweeproots glow, 1.2s wind-upjump over the vine line, or Guard it
Spore Rainmouth opens, screen darkensstand under the canopy shadow — safe pockets
Uproot Charge (P2)shriek + ground crackBlink/roll sideways, NEVER backward

DROP TABLE

  • ◆ Hollow Bark Ring~18%
  • ◆ Rootmaw Trophy~6%
  • ◆ Barkheart Signet~1.2% (feels lower)

💡 Kill the spore pods in P2 — they heal him. Melee, stop standing in the vine line, we can see your HP bar.

Drop superstition

Some players swear Rootmaw drops the Signet more between 2-4 AM server time. Zero evidence. Our editor opened 40 clears worth of logs: 1 Signet, at 3:07 AM. We are not saying. We are just saying.

Stealth-nerf suspicion

Since v0.9.3, community drop logs suggest the legendary ring rate quietly went 1.5% → 1.2%. Not in patch notes. Data below is v0.9.4 — treat older videos accordingly.

The Choirless

Sunken Chapel (Ch.2)Lv 18+
HP: N 55,000 / H 160,000 / HELL 410,000Phases: 3
Phase 1 · hymn
Phase 2 · flood
Phase 3 · silence

← HP drains left to right →

PatternTellCounter
Hymn Waveorgan note, rings expandjump between rings, don't double-jump into the second
Flood Pulse (P2)water flashes whiteget to a pew (bench) — raised ground
Silence (P3)all audio mutes 0.5s before attackthe audio cue IS the tell — attack the moment sound dies

DROP TABLE

  • ◆ Choirless Sigil~4%
  • ◆ Chapel Choir Robe~11%
  • ◆ Silenced Bell Charm~0.8%

💡 P3 silence attacks come in threes. Count them, weave heals between 2nd and 3rd. Bard Dirge trivializes the flood phase.

Drop superstition

Clearing with zero voice lines from your character supposedly raises charm rate. Someone tested 20 runs: 1 charm. Someone else got it first try while typing in chat. RNG gonna RNG.

Foreman Grit

Emberfall Mines (Ch.3)Lv 26+
HP: N 72,000 / H 205,000 / HELL 520,000Phases: 2
Phase 1 · pickaxe
cart phase at 50%
Phase 2 · meltdown

← HP drains left to right →

PatternTellCounter
Cart Tosslifts cart overhead, 1.5sthe cart bounces — clear the whole lane, not just the landing zone
Ember Slampickaxe glows orangebreaks the floor into lava — pre-move to solid tiles
Meltdown (P2)HP bar pulses, sirensdamage check: kill adds or the room fills with fire

DROP TABLE

  • ◆ Forgeman Gauntlets~5%
  • ◆ Ember Pickaxe (tool skin)~9%
  • ◆ Grit's Molten Core~1%

💡 Do NOT lure him near the cart track in P2 — the cart hitboxes clip through his model and will team-kill your melee.

Drop superstition

Mining a vein DURING the fight (his own arena has two) before the kill allegedly boosts tool skin rate. Pure cope, probably. Miners will do anything to justify mining mid-boss.

Windcutter Zeph

Skyshard Terrace (Ch.4)Lv 34+
HP: H 260,000 / HELL 640,000Phases: 3
Phase 1 · blades
Phase 2 · storm
Phase 3 · freefall

← HP drains left to right →

PatternTellCounter
Gale Slashfeathers float, 0.8s — fastroll INTO her, the slash is a ring with a dead zone behind
Updraft (P2)wind lines on platformsride the updrafts; fighting gravity is how you fall off the map
Freefall (P3)floor tiles crumble awayplatform-to-platform while DPSing — Rogue/Ranged friendly, Warrior misery

DROP TABLE

  • ◆ Skyshard Longbow~6%
  • ◆ Zeph Feather Cloak~4.5%
  • ◆ Stormcutter Edge~0.3% · first drop server-wide took 9 days

💡 P3 is a DPS race against floor decay. Save War Cry/Bard songs for it, and let the Cleric DPS — nobody needs healing mid-air, they need the boss dead.

Drop superstition

Fighting her at the very edge of a platform ("no-fall zone buff") is claimed to raise mythic odds. One guild swears by it. Their tanks keep falling off. Coincidence?

The Curator

The Drowned Gallery · night onlyLv 30+ · night🌙 NIGHT ONLY
HP: HELL 580,000Phases: 2
Phase 1 · exhibition
frame shift at 55%
Phase 2 · masterpiece

← HP drains left to right →

PatternTellCounter
Gallery Swappaintings rattlehe swaps places with a painting — true body has a shadow
Frame Prisongolden frame drops on youparty breaks the frame in 3s or you become art (dead)
Nightfall Fade (P2)room darkens, lanterns dieBard Lantern Song or torch item — he is near-invisible and hits like a truck

DROP TABLE

  • ◆ Curator's Lens~2%
  • ◆ Gallery Pass~7%
  • ◆ Empty Frame (cosmetic)~1.5%

💡 Assign frame-breaking duty BEFORE the fight. Four people staring at a framed teammate is how records are not broken.

Drop superstition

The Gallery must be entered in the FIRST night hour for better Lens rate, say the same people who missed the first three night cycles standing in the manor garden. Unverified, obviously.

The Lantern Warden

The Long Stair · floor 99Lv 40+
HP: HELL 2,400,000Phases: 3
Phase 1 · one lantern
Phase 2 · two lanterns
Phase 3 · darkness

← HP drains left to right →

PatternTellCounter
Lantern Sweepflame flares whitetwo-stage swing: block first, roll second
Oil Trailglowing puddlesoil ignites — do not stand in fire, we cannot believe this needs saying
Total Dark (P3)both lanterns out, only his eyesaudio cues only: staff scrape = left, chime = right. Blind clears exist. We hate them.

DROP TABLE

  • ◆ Stairwalker Boots~3% per full climb
  • ◆ Dim Lantern (cosmetic)~2%
  • ◆ Warden's Last Flame~0.2% · server-wide: 2 known

💡 P3 is the real gear check. If your clear time reaches floor 99 after 40 minutes, consider a break — tired fingers on audio-only dodges is how 99th-floor deaths happen.

Drop superstition

Climbing with lanterns dimmed the whole way (never lighting checkpoints) is said to please the Warden. The two mythic owners: one did this, one did not. Make of that what you will.

Data honesty box

Drop rates are aggregated from ~200 community logs per boss, not from datamined tables (we could not find any yet for v0.9.4). They are estimates. If your 500th kill proves us wrong, edit the wiki, do not sue us.
