Classes
Six classes, six flavors of suffering. Based on 2D platformer MMORPG conventions. Early Access v0.9.4.
| Class | Role | Difficulty | Main Stat | One-liner |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Melee frontline / off-tank | ★★★★★ | STR | Guard Stance first, always |
| Mage | Ranged AoE burst | ★★★★★ | INT | Starfall first, always |
| Archer | Sustained ranged DPS | ★★★★★ | DEX | Pierce Shot first, always |
| Rogue | Melee burst / backline assassin | ★★★★★ | DEX | Shadowstep first, always |
| Cleric | Healer / support | ★★★★★ | INT | Mend first, always |
| Bard | Utility support / buffer | ★★★★★ | LUK | March of Embers first, always |
The v0.9.2 Starfall nerf spawned a 300-reply thread and at least two rival tier lists. Mage mains threaten to reroll weekly; Warrior mains post clear times instead of arguing. Skill data below reflects v0.9.4 — believe whoever, but the numbers are the numbers.
[世界] LF Hollow Hard, warrior who can jump over a vine, thanks
[世界] is mage still good after the starfall nerf
[世界] numbers are on the wiki, look it up, stop asking
Warrior
Melee frontline / off-tank · STR
+ Pros
- · Chunky HP, forgiving to learn
- · Party finder loves a Warrior
− Cons
- · No gap-closer until Lv 24
- · Platform-heavy bosses are annoying
Guard Stance Blocks 60% frontal damage for 3s; perfect for Rootmaw dive.
Cleave Wide arc hit, sweeps Wisp packs before they scatter.
War Cry +10% party ATK for 8s. Stacks multiplicatively with Bard songs.
v0.9.3 trimmed Guard Stance block from 70% to 60%. Still perfectly viable — the doomposting was overblown.
Mage
Ranged AoE burst · INT
+ Pros
- · Screensaver-tier mob clearing
- · Teleport ignores platform gaps
− Cons
- · Made of paper, one mistake = dead
- · Mana hungry early game
Starfall Rains 7 comets over 2s. The reason Mage feels like easy mode.
Blink Short teleport. Cancels fall momentum — huge on platform bosses.
Frost Sigil Slows everything in a circle by 40%. Pairs with Archer burst.
THE balance thread. Starfall did get a 5% coefficient nerf in v0.9.2 — data in Skills page reflects it.
Archer
Sustained ranged DPS · DEX
+ Pros
- · Attacks while platforming
- · Best kiting class, period
− Cons
- · Aiming diagonally is a skill check
- · Weak burst until Skyshard bow
Pierce Shot Lines up whole mob rows. Tunnel dungeons adore it.
Eagle Eye Marks a target: +15% damage taken from everyone. Bosses melt.
Retreat Roll Backdash with brief i-frames. Learn it, live it.
Quietly strong since launch. No nerfs so far, and the community has noticed the damage meters.
Rogue
Melee burst / backline assassin · DEX
+ Pros
- · Highest single-target ceiling in the game
- · Backstab multiplier is criminal (2.2x)
− Cons
- · Death by pebble, regularly
- · Rough solo leveling, wants a pocket Cleric
Shadowstep Teleports behind target. Also resets on kill — mob-to-mob chains.
Backstab 2.2x from behind. Positioning is the whole class.
Smoke Veil Drops aggro for 5s. Saves wipes when the tank dies.
Hardest class by a mile, and the DPS ceiling shows it. Speedrun records are 80% Rogue comps.
Cleric
Healer / support · INT
+ Pros
- · Instant party invites, always
- · Solo survivability is a meme (in a good way)
− Cons
- · Kill speed of a gentle breeze
- · Everyone blames the healer
Mend Bounce heal, hits 3 allies. Core of every Hell comp.
Sanctuary Ground circle: allies take 20% less damage. Drop it on the tank, not yourself. Please.
Rebuke Only damage skill worth slotting. Night mobs are weak to it.
Untouched since launch. The devs seem afraid to touch the class keeping Hell parties alive.
Bard
Utility support / buffer · LUK
+ Pros
- · Song buffs stack with everything
- · Night mobility song = free lantern
− Cons
- · Buff upkeep is a rhythm game
- · Solo damage is a sad accordion noise
March of Embers +12% party move speed & ATK. Refreshing it mid-boss-jump is an art.
Lantern Song Emit light aura at night. Actual gameplay utility, not cosmetic.
Dirge Enemy slow aura. Turns chaotic Hell pulls into a walk.
The social class. 90% of Bards are either the guild leader or their best friend, and it shows.
Difficulty ratings are the average of three editors. The Rogue "5 stars" was unanimous; the Cleric "2 stars" caused a 40-minute argument that the Cleric main lost.
