Fishing. It is AFK-friendly, feeds Cooking, and the dock crowd will carry your dungeon questions. Gathering second when you can survive Emberfall.

Fishing is semi-AFK (press when the ! appears). Fully-AFK macros are a bannable offense per the launcher ToS. One guy tested this. Once. We miss him.
